A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US...
Set Free is built on the fact that we believe God can redeem anyone for anything. He is in a constant relentless pursuit of his children. We know that drugs has played a major part in our community and the communities around us. Our leadership team is made up of individuals committed to seeing families ravaged by drug addiction, get Set Free from that addiction and come back together.
SO… WHAT EXACTLY IS SET FREE?
On Saturday nights we provide an opportunity for the community to come share a free meal and hear powerful testimonies from individuals who have been Set Free from addiction. We are located literally a block and a half away from the school. Our goal is to be an open door for not only fun, but also resources and materials to help young people navigate through the difficulty of dealing with parents and/or guardians struggling with drug addiction. We pride ourselves on being a “judgement free zone”, meaning anyone can walk through our doors without the fear of anyone looking down on them for their past choices or mistakes.
HOW DO WE DO THIS?
In early 2019, after prayer and discussion, we were blessed with an 8,000 sq. ft. building. This building had sat vacant for quite some time and was in need of a lot of repairs. Our team of volunteers have been working, trying to get this building back in shape. We are a work in progress, but we have accomplished so much already!
WHAT IS OUR LONG-TERM VISION?
We would like to purchase the entire shopping center where Set Free is, and put in a Youth Center, drug counseling offices, and possibly a clinic to help those struggling with drug addiction. We believe that we could become a regional go-to for people wanting to be "Set Free" from the destructive cycles in their lives.
